The people who used "blacks" are the red, who used "African-Americans" are blue, and people who didn't use either are green.As you can see, many people refer to African- American people as "blacks" which is not a race, it is indeed a color. Not all African-American people are "black"; some are indeed lighter than the night sky. So, in conclusion, African-Americans should not be referred to as "blacks".
